The eDART Samplers are variations on the established poppet sampler. A poppet sampler has a piston, with wear resistant seals, that pushes into the pressurised mainline, it pauses in the extended position to allow the chamber to fill and then it retracts to release the sample into a collection device at atmospheric pressure. These samplers are ideal for representative sampling over time.

Product Variations

The original poppet sampler was installed over thirty years ago, and they have been used in minerals processing ever since. Design has been recently been updated to improve safety. It is a compact, economical sampler for extracting a fixed volume slurry sample from the process line. To make sample handling easy it delivers the sample at atmospheric pressure.  
The thief sampler is a poppet sampler that can be removed from the process line without having to shut down that line. This allows for maintenance of the sampler outside of shutdown periods. These are eDART’s most common slurry samplers. Typically these samplers are used for control purposes and calibration of densitometers.
The coarse sampler has been specifically designed to sample coarse slurries, typically cyclone feed lines where sample particles up to  15 mm in diameter may be retrieved. This sampler features a tungsten carbide piston plate and a polyurethane sampling chamber for increased wear resistance. The samplers are used for calibration of densitometers and control purposes. In the retracted position the sampler is fully removed from the process stream to extend life expectancy.
